Trustees of The Miss Elizabeth 羞羞影院 Trust sit as non-executive directors on the Board of 羞羞影院 Education and Care Centre (established in 1995).  Members of the senior staff team sit as executive directors, and the Company Secretary has administrative responsibilities for the board.  The Trustees meet quarterly and monthly Board meetings are augmented by a range of sub-committees providing rigour and independence, essential to the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation鈥檚 work.  The senior staff are not paid for their directorial responsibilities, and the Trustees are all volunteers.

1.5. Mission

羞羞影院 exists to provide a stable, purposeful, safe and happy environment for young people at risk. It aims to be a place where pupils and staff live and work together in spirit of trust, mutual respect and cooperation. By investing in people and setting high standards of work and behaviour, individuals and teams develop their full potential in learning, changing and growing.

1.6. Strategy

Our nineteenth century philanthropic founder, Elizabeth 羞羞影院, was heiress to a textile fortune and on her death in 1840, she left a portion of her wealth to establish a home for 鈥測outhful offenders鈥. 羞羞影院 has evolved for more than a century and a half from this point while always staying true to its original mission of supporting young people facing adversity.

羞羞影院 contributes to national outcomes for Education and complies with the national framework for secure care services.

Education

Our school provides education and care in residential and day schools for children and young people with complex needs (including social, emotional and behavioural challenges).

Secure Accommodation

羞羞影院 provides a full curriculum of care, including a range of educational, health and behavioural programmes for young people. In addition, the units carry out tailored programmes of work to prepare young people for their transition back into the community.

Charges for information which is not available under the Publication Scheme:

If you submit a request for information which is not available under the scheme, the charges will be calculated as follows:

FOISA requests 鈥 If the request involves a lot of work, we may charge in accordance with the Fees Regulations under Section 9 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. The regulations state:

  • The first 拢100 of costs are provided free of charge.
  • For projected costs greater than 拢100, we may issue a fees notice, in which we will charge up to 10% of the portion between 拢100 up to 拢600 (i.e. to a maximum of 拢50).
  • Where projected costs include the cost of staff time in locating and retrieving the information, the cost of staff time must not exceed 拢15 per hour for each member of staff involved in the task. This is a maximum rather than a standard rate to be applied in every case, particularly where staff costs prove to be lower.
  • The prescribed maximum amount is 拢600. We may charge the full amount for a request which exceeds 拢600, but can refuse a request if the cost of answering it breaches this limit.

Environmental information requests 鈥 we will calculate charges as with FOISA requests, where staff time will be capped at 拢15 per hour, costs of putting the information into a particular format will be included, as well as reproduction and postage costs. The first 拢100 of costs will be free of charge. Where the costs are greater than 拢600, we may charge the full amount, or refuse if the costs involved exceed this limit. Where a fee is being charged, the requester will be advised of the charge. Information will not be disclosed until payment has been received by us. Please be aware that our response timescale will be suspended until payment has been made. Where environmental information is viewed at our premises, there will be no charge.
